I feel like I'm cheating here since I didn't really sketch it, but modify it with Photoshop. I promise I won't take the easy way out, but this was the hurried effect since I really should be downstairs painting my husband's new office.
BTW, I will be moving my illustration friday & photo friday assignments to Lisa's Atelier. This space will continue to rant, rave, and highlight special events.

Lisa, please don't apologize for such a stuning photo-manipulation. The field of "illustration" includes a vast array of media and I'm certain you're aware of how much professional illustrators rely on digital techniques. Even before computers, mechanical aids were commonplace in order to meet deadlines. Anyway, I absolutely LOVE what you've done here...a great job!
ohh dont worry.. the way you placed your creative style in a picture that was seen thru an an artist's eyes will defenitely pass illo friday bec of such a great illo! check out mine, i sprinkled actual pics as well..
