Female Porn Redux

Last night, we had our friends Amy and Phil stop by for dinner. Somehow, we began talking about the FemalePorn we each had just discovered separately -Amy found a book replete with epigrams! Coincidentally, we both loved the same one.

Meanwhile, Andrew's cooking dinner (isn't he always?) and we decided it would be good to set up a scene paying deference to the published work. I love that man of mine.

Anyhow, if you want visual stimulation -er, not porn! On second thought, maybe... We brought out Cirque du Soleil's Quidam on DVD. Wow! It's been well over a year since I've watched it and it's such a visual feast! I need to watch it monthly just to remind myself to get to the gym -very inspirational!

For anyone interested, dinner started with the Tomato and Mozarrella salad (with pesto, balsamic vinegar and freshly roasted garlic). The main course was two types of ravioli - smoked mozarrella and chicken - Spinach and fresh mozarrella - with a scratch made creamy tomato sauce (the secret is using Chevre to make it creamy). For Desert Amy and Phil brought a wonderful blueberry pie and vanilla frozen yogurt. This was all consumed with a very nice bottle of Sangiovese that our guests brought as well.

You know, Hayden, you should resume putting these recipes on your blog since you are the Culinary Alchemist.

I'd much rather stay in and eat your cooking than go out to a chain.

But that means giving away some of my secret sauce. Nope, not going to do it, wouldn't be prudent.

Specially since I don't really write any of my recipes down, they just sort of come to me. However, I do recommend people try honey on garlic toast. It's outstanding.

Enjoy!!!

Yah, but what am I going to do with all of the foodtography I've taken? I've got dozens of images!

Save it, I need it as reference when I enter "The Next Food Network Star" contest next year. I'm still trying to figure out what food I hate. Haven't thought of anything yet.

I'll be "The Everyday Gourmet." You can do amazing things with the everyday things you already have in your kitchen. It only takes a few things to make a basic meal special.

Oy! You'll always be Chez Hayden to me. Besides, it makes your mum envious. We'll have to make her Madame's Cafe.
